Sony has confirmed that PlayStation Vita firmware version 1.8 will finally add PSone support to the handheld. Unfortunately, Sony failed to reveal any specific details about a time scale for the update’s release or if any other new features aside from PSone support would feature in the update.
Sony have previously touted that PSone support will be available by summer at the latest, so hopefully we won’t have to wait long until we can play the likes of Final Fantasy VII on a magnificent OLED screen.
